Christmas Morning with Duke and Duchess (Bald Eagles)

The Eagles have returned to North Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Most are sitting on eggs on their nests. So, dust off the long lenses (generally a 300mm lens or longer is required), tripods and join us for a Photo Safari to see Bald Eagles.

Now with all that said, this could easily be a dud of a PhotoWalk. The weather could conspire against use, the birds could be a no show or a dozen other possibilities. We could also be too late and the birds could have flown off the nest for an hour or two. Who knows?

There are NOT many other birds and or things to photographic so come prepared to stand for a little if the eagles are a no show. The hike in is only about a 100 yards, so please wear comfortable walking shoes. Tripods are a great help, but remember that you have to carry them in and out. The longer the lens the better, but anything over 300mm will work well.

You’re also welcome to bring a folding chair, cooler, thermos etc. We’ll be here a few hours, so you might as well be comfortable.
