Wednesday Morning Photowalk to Gladys E. Douglas Preserve

Today we continue with our Wednesday Morning photowalks with a new Preserve, the Gladys E. Douglas Preserve, Dunedin.

Recently opened on February 25, 2023, the site was the home of philanthropist Gladys Elaine Douglas. Some of her life's greatest joy came from listening to the birds fly over the pine scrub and looking out over the lake bordering the home where she lived for 50 years. The preserve is located on 44 acres of environmentally sensitive lands with an 80-acre adjoining lake and wetlands. Jeff will explain how this preserve came to be during the walk.

Parking: a temporary parking lot is located on the left-hand side as you enter the preserve at the main entrance.

If rain forces a cancellation, it’ll be posted here and an email will be sent to all RSVPd members. So, be sure to check your email and website before heading out.

Everyone is also invited to lunch following each meeting. We will be visiting several of most popular Clearwater restaurants on a rotating basis after each weekly meeting. This is a great way to meet other members, learn about FCCP and get involved in the photography community.

There will be lots of learning and laughter. Jeff Donald will teach each session and he's a certified Photographic Counselor by PMA. He taught photography for 4 years at Montana State University and started the Digital Photography program at the Dunedin Fine Art Center in 2002. Jeff worked for Apple Computer, Ritz Camera Center, and several regional camera retail chains and has worked with 1000's of customers and students during that time.
