FCCP - Key Elements For Taking Powerful Black and White Photos

Details

Must be paid member to RSVP class, see below.
May also pay at beginning of class

DOORS OPEN AT 845

Black and White photography was for over 125 years the only medium accepted by museums, major galleries and serious photography exhibits. In fact color photos were not displayed by a major museum until MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) exhibited the work of William Eggleston in the summer of 1976. Today B&W is often ignored by both amateurs and professionals alike.

This class will cover the basics for shooting B&W digital photos. It will cover the basic techniques for producing the superior B&W Raw file. This will include;

  • Composition for B&W
  • Use of Filters
  • Exposure for B&W, including High ISO
  • Nighttime B&W
  • HDR for B&W
  • and much more

There will be lots of learning and laughter. Jeff Donald will teach each session and he's a certified Photographic Counselor by PMA. He taught photography for 4 years at Montana State University and started the Digital Photography program at the Dunedin Fine Art Center in 2002. Jeff worked for Apple Computer, Ritz Camera Center, and several regional camera retail chains and has worked with 1000's of customers and students during that time. Experienced members will be on hand to share tips & tricks and more.
