The Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Sisters in Crime is pleased to announce the featured speaker at the October 2022 monthly meeting will be author Harold Emanuel.

Date: Saturday, October 8, 2022 (PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE DUE TO HURRICANE IAN)

Location: Online via Zoom. CONFIRMED: In-person at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way Ruskin, FL 33573-4903. After the meeting, in-person attendees will gather at The Sunset Grill, 602 Bahia Del Sol Dr, Ruskin, FL 33570 for a social lunch. Please bring cash to pay for your lunch.

Give your detectives a new tool, cyberspace. Harold will describe how you can use tools such as the Internet of Things, social media, and photo aging as devices in your mystery novels. He will explain how your sleuth can sit in his den and solve a murder.

Harold Emanuel is the author of the Lionel Trevor/Tech Squad mystery series. Professor Lionel Trevor leads a Forensic Technology workshop at a local community college. The professor and his students use forensic technology to solve murders.

Harold Emanuel spent his career working in information technology. When he retired, he moved to Sun City Center, a Florida community much like his fictional Sun Coast Shores. He teaches at Hillsborough Community College and lives with his wife, Katherine.
