Details: The Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of Sisters in Crime is pleased to announce the featured speaker at the October 5, 2024, meeting will be Camille Cline.

Description: Veteran editor Cline shares insights on self-editing in big buckets through the polish that leaves your manuscript bulletproof and ready for publication (how’s that for mixing metaphors!?). Cline will also discuss future trends in book publishing and answer questions.

Biography: Camille Cline serves as Venice Theatre’s Director of Advancement, focusing on renovating its three-building showplace campus, raising awareness of the second-largest community theatre in the nation, and helping it make a dramatic impact on all ages and stages of our community members’ lives.
Cline has raised funds for the University of Virginia, Sarasota County Schools, the Venice Public Library, and The Loveland Center. She served as President of the Pine View Association, continues to run her own editorial consulting firm on the side, chairs the Authors Committee for the Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival, and serves on the Finance Committee of Grace United Methodist Church. She had visited Venice since the 1990s before moving in 2007 to raise her family in this paradise.
