What we’re about
Did you know there are over 160 State Parks in Florida?! Us Florida folks are very aware of the theme parks we live within a day's driving distance of, but our state is burgeoning with nature immersive parks, offering holistic themes focused on fresh air, flora and fauna, interesting trees, plants, animals, caves, waterfalls, unique landscapes, history and many other features providing an adventure in exploration.
Join the Florida Park Explorers and get inspired to learn more about these parks and our state. About every 6 weeks we will go on a day trip or night-away trip planned in advance. Each event will include an organized agenda describing park location, drive time, expected cost, if an overnight stay is suggested and where. Sometimes we will visit locations near Orlando, others will be as far as the western Florida panhandle or Florida Keys. You can pick and choose what floats your boat (we may even find ourselves in those from time to time) and we hope to see you there!
