Highlighted Hike of the Month
Details
Welcome to the Highlighted Hike of the Month! We have a hike featured each month in our Central Florida Chapter newsletter and website (https://sites.google.com/floridatrail.org/cfcfta/home), and we will be leading a hike there on the 1st or 2nd Saturday of each month. The December hike is in the Split Oak Forest WEA. This is a loop hike of about 6 miles. Lots of sandy and sunny areas. We will pass by three lakes/ponds, and there were mosquitos! The Friends of Split Oak are in a fight to keep a by-pass from being built in this area. Come see this land that is worth protecting!
