Charles H. Bronson State Forest 13 Miles (Small Group Hike)
Details
THIS HIKE IS ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED HIKERS that have been hiking 10+ miles on a regular basis. It is going to be physically challenging, but a lot of fun too.
***This will be a small group event, limited to 10 hikers. Please make sure that you can make it to the hike***
We will hike at a moderate pace on the Florida Trail, White Trail and Connector trail to complete a loop of about 13-miles at the Charles H. Bronson State Forest. We will stop along the way to take small breaks and take our main break half-way to cool down and have a snack. After the break, we continue hiking on our way back to our cars. (If you are looking for a fast hike, this hike is not for you)
Let's meet at 7:30AM at the Florida Trail Phillips Road/Joshua Creek Trailhead. We will start hiking no later than 7:45AM. Please keep in mind that the Charles H. Bronson State Forest is an active hunting area, so it is always a good idea to wear something bright.
Expect to encounter mud, standing water, overgrown vegetation on this hike and Ticks could be active.
The hike will be 13-Miles of strenuous difficulty, so you know what to bring, plenty of water (3+ liters), snacks, etc. to hold you over for a long day hike.
**There is a day use fee of $2, which can be paid online at https://floridastateforests.reserveamerica.com/.**
