Three Lakes WMA (Prairie Lakes Unit) 6 Mile Hike

The hunting season will be on pause this weekend, so this is our chance to hike this beautiful trail of Old Florida oaks. We will hike the south side trail at a moderate pace, taking breaks as needed. This will be a linear hike of 3 miles in and 3 miles out. If the weather is cool enough, we may even go farther!
Let's meet at 7:30AM at the Entrance Parking Area, where we will caravan to the southern trail entrance parking. This is a gravel road prone to ruts and holes so arriving on time is essential to starting our hike early. Our meeting place GPS coordinates are 27.927789, -81.124936.
There is a day use fee of $3 per person or $6 per vehicle and no restrooms at the trailhead.
NOTE: We start on time, so please don't be late or you will be hiking by yourself! Potential guests will have to register on Meetup and RSVP separately.
There are no restroom facilities at the trailhead, but the campground has some toilets.

Walking stick
Hat
Snacks
Bug spray
Sunscreen
Extra pair of shoes (after hike)
