Backpacking 101 caesarweed pulling event

Join us for our backpacking 101 ceasarweed pulling event. Help keep caesarweed out of loop 4 camp. We will be hiking in approximately 2 miles to loop 4 campsite on the OTLHT. We will be picking/pulling caesarweed at loop 4 campsite. Later in the afternoon we will build a fire and burn all the caesarweed we collected throughout the day. This is meant to be a fun relaxing day helping to rid loop 4 campsite of the caesarweed that has returned since our last event. If you are new to backpacking and want to join us or an experienced backpacker wanting to enjoy an overnight in the woods, all levels of experience are welcome to join us. We just ask that you spend part of the day picking/pulling the invasive caesarweed.
We will have gloves and garbage bags but feel free to bring your own.
What you need to bring:
Tent or hammock
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping pad
Food for 24 hours, snacks, lunch, dinner, breakfast
Drinks for 24 hours, water, energy drink, coffee
Clean clothes if you want
Toiletries
Remember we are a leave no trace, pack it in, pack it out.
