Backpacking the Suwannee - Redux - Advanced

Suwanee River Adventure - Redux
This is a second shot at a new section of trail that proved quite challenging last go around. This time we will be hiking from White Springs west to the Spirit of Suwannee Campground on the Florida Trail. At this time, the plan is to stay at the Spirit of Suwannee Campground (SOSC) on Friday night and shuttle to the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park early Saturday morning to start our hike back to the SOSC. The plan would be to arrive at the SOSC early enough in the day on Monday to get cleaned up, share a meal, and decide for yourself as to heading home or staying the night.

I purposely used the term "plan" in this description as I have a few additional options for this trip that I have not yet heard back on. However, I have enough confidence in the plan as it has been stated to post the event and start putting the group together.

**Important Note** - Simply signing up for this event on meetup does not mean you are on the list of participants. As there are still quite a few unknowns about the trail conditions, final mileage, etc. , we will need to keep to to only experienced backpackers. Once we have more experience with this section, I plan to open the event up to a wider group.

Costs associated:
You will be responsible for paying for your campsite at Spirit of the Suwannee Friday. ($40- 2 tents allowed per site, can coordinate with someone to share)
*Cars are $10/car/night to wait for us in the parks at both ends. This cost will be divided between all attendees. Gas cost split among carpool riders.

If you are wondering what you need to bring for this hike, this advanced trip is not for you.
