**This hike is intended to be a shakedown hike for those participating in the OTLHT fundraising hike in February. Those registered for the fundraising hike will be given preference in signups should spots fill up.**

We will be hiking in the DuPuis Wildlife Management Area from the north end of Loop 1 (DuPuis Pavilion) down the west side down to Loop 4 campsite to spend the night. Then back to our vehicles the following day on the east side. Both days total miles will be about 16 miles. 8 miles per day.

This will be a great warm up for the OTLHT and an opportunity to meet some of the fellow hikers you will be spending a few days with on trail.

If you cannot make this hike, it is NOT a requirement, but a great opportunity if you can.
All hikers should be prepping with some sort of hiking/walking/rucking routine to make sure that you are ready for the OTLHT adventure.

There is NO water drop for this location. You will need to filter water and everyone will need to start with at least 2 liters, just like we will on the OTLHT.

We will leave promptly at 9am on Saturday. We usually enjoy a post hike meal at a restaurant in Indiantown on Sunday. (Guatemex Restaurant is a solid favorite)

**Keep your gear to a bare minimum, but pack like you intend to start your OTLHT hike.**
