Overnight caesarweed pulling event, Backpacking 101

We will hike in 2 miles to loop 4 primitive campsite from the cypress boardwalk parking area.
We will spend the day pulling the invasive caesarweed. We will have time to relax and enjoy being in nature.
Hopefully the burn ban will be lifted and we will burn the caesarweed. If there is still a burn ban we will put it in large garbage bags for disposal.

The next day we will hike the 2 miles back to our cars.

If you are new to backpacking or primitive camping this is your chance to enjoy the experience. We just ask that you pull some caesarweed during your time at camp.
You will need to bring a tent or hammock. Your food and drinks for 1 overnight. This could include lunch, dinner and breakfast for the next morning. Bring any snacks you might want. You could bring a backpacking stove if are cooking a meal.
Bring gloves to wear. If you prefer, I will have extra gloves for you. Bring bug spray and sun protection.
Over the past few years we have improved the campsite by having this event. Come on out and help us keep loop 4 a premium campsite.
