Public/Strenuous

Let's do 12+ miles on the Apoxee and Owahee Trail systems!

This is the City of West Palm Beach's wetlands. The hiking is mostly done on a gravel road. The wetlands offer a fantastic variety of scenery and wildlife including birds, alligators, turtles and on rare occasion, otters!

Gates open at 7:00, so let's arrive there at 7:30 for a 7:45 departure.

Please bring at least 2 liters of water and a snack for our break.

Temperatures are forecast between mid 60's to mid 80's with a 40% chance for rain.

We will be moving at a fast pace. I strive for under 20:00 per mile. If you are not an experienced hiker capable of moving fast, this is not the hike for you.

Please bring a hat as there is not a lot of shade on this trail.
