Operation Mercury V / Suicide Awareness Hike

Details
Operation Mercury V / Suicide Awareness Hike - A hike for and to honor active military, veterans and disabled vets. That said, everyone is invited.
Mission Objectives: For too long the veteran community has suffered with the signa of "well the person has it". There is no hierarchy for suffering. All veterans and service members can experience things that will cause depression or suicidal ideations. This year's theme is Mission Objectives. Our mission is to prevent suicide and tackle the stigma of mental illness as a team. You are not alone no one is. And just like you couldn't meet the next objective without your team, we cannot do it alone.
Location: Hike the Soggy Bottom segment of the Cimarron Trail on the Eglin AFB Reservation.
Hike Plan: Out and back hike from Little Gin Hole Landing to the trail terminus of the Cimarron Trail at the Yellow River. Total distance approximately 4.5 miles. Pace will be slow to moderate with plenty of time to pause and appreciate.
Lunch: BBQ afterwards at Little Gin Hole Landing.
***A GROUP Eglin reservation permit for participants will be acquired by the host for the activity.
NO PETS will be permitted.
Bring plenty of water, snacks, rain gear, bug spray, sunscreen, & etc.
