13 Mile Hike on the Florida Trail at Nokuse

This is a trail assessment loop hike on the Florida Trail segments between the Lafayette Creek Trailhead (J.W. Hollington Rad) and the Florida Trail crossing of Golf Course Road. The objective is to assess and record trail condition in preparation for the IDIDAHIKE (Feb. 14, 2026. The location is on the Nokuse Section of the Florida Trail in Walton County on Northwest Florida Water Management District and Nokuse Plantation lands.
Hike Plan: We’ll meet at the Florida Trail / Lafayette Creek Trailhead on J.W. Hollington Road at 8:00 AM CDT. We'll hike to Golf Course Road and return. Total length is approximately 13 miles.
NO PETS will be permitted.
Bring plenty of water, snacks, lunch, rain gear, bug spray, sunscreen, & etc.
