Hike to the Yellow River Bridge Site

Hike with us to the proposed Yellow River bridge site. Depending on conditions we may explore the route of the proposed access road. The road would facilitate bridge construction. This area is mostly river swamp, so expect to get your boots muddy. Anyone who elects to explore the access road route will have to ford Turkey Gobbler Creek.
An Eglin reservation permit is REQUIRED when entering the Eglin reservation. Everyone must have in their possession a valid Eglin permit and photo ID. Permits can be purchased in person at Jackson Guard in Niceville. Their address is 107 Hwy 85 North, and their number is (850) 882-4165 or (850) 882-4166. BRING: Lunch, plenty of fluids, rain gear and insect repellent.
Long pants and good closed toe shoes are HIGHLY recommended.
