Protect Florida's Bears SAY NO TO TROPHY HUNTING

PLEASE attend one of the 13 Black Bear Hunt Protests throughout Florida on Saturday, August 9.

These protests are hosted by Bear Defenders and Compassion for Animals. FVA will be joining the Tampa & Sarasota sites to support this effort. Please check out all the possible locations to find one near you.

AND IF possible, PLEASE attend the Havana FWC meeting on 8/13 when the final vote on this hunt will be taken. IF approved this year, it may become an annual hunt that won't require public input.

Check the link for a bus ride there hosted by the Sierra Club Florida Chapter. It's important to have a good showing to show our opposition to this horrible unwarranted AND unwanted trophy hunt. Floridians have spoken loudly, at least 81% oppose this hunt. The last one in 2015 was a disaster and more than 300 bears were killed in less than 48 hrs. 59% female, 21% lactating moms, leaving many orphaned cubs, many who suffered and probably died. PLEASE be a voice to stop this hunt!
