What to expect
Join Florida Voices for Animals for a refreshing biweekly hike and nature walk followed by a community meal at a local vegan spot. This series helps us:

  1. connect with like-minded people
  2. support vegan businesses
  3. boost physical and mental health in a fun, low-pressure way

For this outing, we’ll meet at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve Visitor Center and do a combination of the Main and Lakeside Trail Loop and Center Loop Trail, while skipping the central overlapping section. Total hiking distance should be about 8 km / 5 miles.

Event plan
Start time: 8:00 AM sharp

  1. Meet and greet (8:00–8:10 AM)
    Quick intros and route overview.

  2. Group hike / walk (8:10–10:15 AM)
We’ll do a combined route using both loops while skipping the central overlapping section.
    Distance: about 8 km / 5 miles
    Duration: about 2 hours
Pace: easy-to-moderate, with regroup points so nobody gets left behind

  3. Vegan restaurant stop (around 10:30 / 10:45 AM)
After the hike, we plan to head to Good Intentions, which is about 11 minutes away.
If the restaurant is closed or there are any unforeseen circumstances, we may switch to another nearby option within about 15 to 20 minutes, such as House of Vegano.
