🌿 Rainbow Springs Hike & Swim & Gainesville VegFest Day Trip

Join us for a full-day adventure combining Rainbow Springs State Park, a short hike, optional swimming, and Gainesville VegFest! 🌊🥾🌱
We’ll leave Tampa in the morning, spend some time exploring Rainbow Springs, and then continue to Gainesville for VegFest.

### 🗓 Tentative Schedule

🚗 7:00 AM – Meet in Tampa
Publix Super Market on N Nebraska Ave
6001 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL
We’ll meet here, organize carpools, consolidate into the three vehicles and then head to Rainbow Springs together.
Please arrive a little early so we can organize passengers and leave promptly around 7:00 AM.

🌊 ~8:30 AM – Arrive at Rainbow Springs State Park
We have a reservation for up to 15 people and a maximum of 3 vehicles.

🥾🏊 8:30–10:15 AM – Hike + Optional Swim
We’ll explore the park, do a short hike, and anyone interested can enjoy a swim in the spring.
If you plan to swim, please bring:

• Swimsuit
• Towel
• Change of clothes
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Water
• Sunscreen

Rainbow Springs has restrooms and changing facilities, so we’ll have a chance to change before continuing to Gainesville.

🚗 ~10:15 AM – Leave Rainbow Springs
🌱 ~11:30 AM – Arrive at Gainesville VegFest
We’ll explore Gainesville VegFest together, including vegan food, vendors, organizations, activities, and the overall festival atmosphere.

🚗 Afternoon – Return to Tampa
We’re aiming to be back in the Tampa area around 3–4 PM, depending on traffic and how long the group stays at VegFest.

That’s completely fine!
If you don’t want to join the early Rainbow Springs portion, you can drive directly to Gainesville and meet us at Gainesville VegFest around 11:30 AM.
Please mention in the comments or message the organizer if you’re planning to join directly in Gainesville.

### 🚙 Important – RSVP & Carpooling

This will be a full-day outing, and carpooling is necessary because our Rainbow Springs reservation is limited to:
Maximum 15 people
Maximum 3 vehicles
Because the Rainbow Springs portion has limited capacity, please avoid last-minute cancellations.
We’ll coordinate drivers, passengers, and carpool arrangements with confirmed attendees before the event.
