Zen Garden Dinner Party under Full Flower Moon

Details

Happy Spring!
If you are like me, you are enjoying watching all the buds pop open as the breeze wafts frangipani or gardenia fragrances that we have been waiting a long time to return. You also hope to meet kind people who enjoy healthy lifestyles and Blue Zones principles.

I helped launch Blue Zones in Collier County over a decade ago and if you are not yet familiar, please google or DYOR. Part of the principles encourage people to spend time in community, in service to others, in nature, and eat 80% plant based diets. With that in mind, it is time we meet more in real life and share our knowledge or questions with one another along with a meal outdoors. I want to welcome you to my Zen Garden but this is an exclusive event that you must RSVP in advance by email AND pay $20 to confirm your RSVP and also bring a dish to share. It doesnt have to be homemade or fully plant based/vegan but extra points for those who grew the food and prepared it to eat.

May 23 is the full moon also known as the Flower Moon. For decades, prior to the pandemic lockdown, friends and i would enjoy Chinese food every full moon. During the pandemic, we no longer shared food so as not to cross contaminate and our gathering was smaller. Im am hoping we all learned from pandemic isolation to be considerate of one another’s special needs and opinions and agree to be kind and honest and not attend if u know you have been exposed to a communicable illness. This is the first dinner event since the lockdown that i am hoping to organize thru Meetup and i hope you are understanding with the administrative side of this. Some of you seemed upset the emails did not reach you until after the Yard and Garden shows. I am posting this/emailing this weeks in advance but need your help to make this work but responding asap with you interest if you plan to attend. We have almost 2000 members in this group but if you all plan to attend, i will have to get a permit for such a large group. I will send the address after the rsvp confirmation but am expecting the dinner will be near Lowdermilk Park.

COVID-19 safety measures

As mentioned in description, this will be outdoor dining with access to restroom but it is requested ppl use discretion and not attend if they know they have been exposed to a communicable illness. Also strive to not cross contaminate food items
The event host is instituting the above safety measures for this event. Meetup is not responsible for ensuring, and will not independently verify, that these precautions are followed.
