FRI AM Beach and Snorkel Day Boynton Beach Inlet Park Ocean Side
Details
Join us snorkeling at Boynton Beach's Ocean Inlet Park. This too is a man-made reef with an abundance of sea life. Pic above is from snorkeling this site.
We will get there about 10:30 to stake out a spot on the beach. Look for my orange, aqua, and white sheet. Expect to get in the water 10:45 - 11 am ish. High tide is not until 12:30. Like Peanut Island, we will most likely snorkel a few times during the visit. The further south you walk, the larger the reef. Check out the map.
The parking lot is on the intracoastal side of A1A in the park. The map should take you directly to the parking lot, where there are restrooms and a pavilion. Last time I was here parking was free. Think that is still the case.
Once you park your vehicle, take the walkway to the beach access/entrance, and look for us just south of the entrance. Again, look for my orange, aqua, and white beach sheet. Maybe I will have a flamingo, since no one notice the pinwheel in the sand at Peanut Island.
Feel free to pack a lunch or snack to hang on the beach with us.
What to bring:
- Snorkel gear
- Dive flag, if you have one (always good to have multiple)
- Noodle if you need assistance (I will have one extra)
- Sunscreen
- Beach towel, umbrella, etc.
- Water, snack, lunch
Late afternoon, we may head to a local establishment for a refreshment. All are welcome.
I will watch the weather and post an update by 7:30 am.
Hope to see you there,
Karen
