Florida Outdoors: Snorkel, Bike, Kayak & More...

Join us for a happy hour meet and greet at drift the outdoor bar at Mariott at Town Centre. Last year, we had a couple of successful happy hours at this venue.

The bar area offers plenty of outdoor space for mingling and sitting down at either a table or at the bar. Lots of interesting drinks and the menu includes small place, salads, entrees, and flatbreads.

Join us for our Sun am bike ride, new route, in West Boca Raton.

We will meet at South County Regional Park off of Glades. Drive past the dog park and playground to the amphitheater parking.

The ride will be a mix of park, trails, bike paths in park and on road, sidewalk, and some packed sand. Expect about 18 miles. Pace will be about 10-12 miles per hour. And, note, this will be the second time doing this ride. From what I see on the map, we should see some things that we have not yet seen on our rides in the past.

What to Bring:
- Helmet
- Flasher for back of bike if you like
- Lots of water, sunscreen, snack if you prefer

We can now rent on line.

Let's Kayak or Paddleboard Whiskey Creek Hideout in Dania Beach. This is an easy, beginner excursion, which is great for 1st timers. Plan is to kayak, hit the beach at the south end of the park. Some choose to head to the beach front bar for an early afternoon cocktail and lunch. Others can bring their lunch and sit on the beach. The choice is yours.

We will meet at 10:30 as a group for our 11 am rentals.

Be sure to get there early as there are often long wait lines to pay and enter the park. Park Entrance fees are $4 and $6 (multiple peeps).

Here are rental prices for 2 and 3 hour rentals:
Single: $45 (2hrs)/ $60 (3hrs)
Double: $60 (2hrs)/ $80 (3hrs)
Paddleboard: $45 (2hrs) / $60 (3hrs)

Rental can be booked online. The first option available is 11am.

And, YES, you can bring your own vessel. No fee to launch.

What to bring: water, snacks, sunscreen, water shoes, hat, bathing suite, and any other protective gear. There is a shower for rinsing off and a large bathroom to change your clothes afterwards.

And if you twist my arm, we can go to the nearby brewery afterwards.
