The Orchard Experiment: Work is Dead. What Comes Next?

Work as we once knew it, the hustle, the grind, the endless output, is ending. But work itself isn’t dead. It’s evolving into something wilder, freer, and way more human - more like a living orchard than a factory floor.

The Orchard Experiment is a playful live gathering hosted by Work is Dead + Fusion, a movement exploring how we create, contribute, and live beyond survival-mode systems.

We’ll dip into ancient wisdom from alchemy to natural law to indigenous knowledge and explore how real work grows: not by forcing it, but by planting seeds, following curiosity, and letting life do some of the heavy lifting. Because here’s the thing: An orchard doesn’t hustle. It doesn’t push. It grows because it’s rooted, nourished, and connected to something bigger.

At this event, you’ll step into a living orchard-in-the-making. You’ll be invited to plant a live offering - a word, a sketch, a song, a new idea, whatever arises through you. Not to sell. Not to impress. Just to play, plant, and see what happens. We’ll imagine what work could feel like if it grew naturally from resonance, not obligation; from roots, not grind; from curiosity, not control.
