About us

Hi everyone, my name is Freddy. I’m a 23 year-old man from flowery branch and I made this group with the goal of finding fellow young adults who want real friends. I have a very broad sense of humor, go to the gym, and like geeky things. Now I want to avoid coming off as a complainer or like I’m making mental health my identity, that is not the case however it’s a very real thing in my life and in many others. I want this group to be able to accept others regardless of their background or what they’re going through so long as they’re trying to better themselves and find community. I myself have struggled deeply with anxiety and depression, but I’ve also been through a lot in life outside of that and grown immensely. If someone were to take anything away from this group idea of mine I want it to be that you’re not alone. Whether you feel like you are in perfect health or you feel like you’re drowning or maybe somewhere in between and you just want more friends, whatever the reason, I welcome you with open arms. An ideal example of what a group meeting would look like would probably be going on a walk in a park, going to see a movie, going to a café, reading and reviewing a book, or maybe even just finding a quiet place to sit down and talking about ourselves. I do not want this group to specialize in anything other than having love and compassion for each other. One day we may have deep conversations and another day we may roast each other while eating at a restaurant or playing a sport. People need community now more than ever and I for one have never truly fit in anywhere despite being able to be friends with a wide variety of people but maybe this is what I’m supposed to do. If any of this interests you at all, please join me on this journey and I hope that people can find positivity in this.
