- We are a LGBTQIA+ social group for Queer folx ages 18 or older. (Younger people can attend with a parent or legal guardian.)
- Most of our events take place in the East Valley suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona.

To Be Young, Gifted, and Black - Lesbian Icon Lorraine Hansberry
Black Troupe Theater, 1333 E Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ, USShow time. The show starts at 7:00 P.M. We can meet about 20 minutes before the show in the lobby to try to get seats together.
Lorraine Hansberry was a brilliant essayist, activist, and Black lesbian whose voice challenged racism, sexism, and homophobia in the 1950s. The youngest American playwright to win the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for her groundbreaking play A Raisin in the Sun, this Queer icon embodied what it means to be young, gifted, and Black.
It's Women's History Month! Join us as we celebrate Hansberry's life, courage, and brilliance by attending the play Young, Gifted and Black. Experience the power of her legacy —and the enduring voice of an LGBTQ+ visionary.
Cost. Tickets can only be purchased at the door, and it's "Pay What You Can". So arrive early if you want to be sure you get a seat! They only accept cash.
Transportation. Parking is free. The actual lot in front of the building is tiny; but, there is overflow parking just past the building
