Flutter x Graphql 💙
Many of us are familiar with consuming REST APIs in our Flutter apps but REST is just one of the API types out there. Graphql being another one, is a powerful way of integrating data from your backend into your flutter app.
Many libraries exist out there to help you seamlessly integrate Graphql into your flutter app but I’ve found Ferry to be a very easy and straightforward method to do this. We will be delving into what Ferry is, how it’s’ different from other graphql libraries and how to use it in your flutter app when your backend uses Graphql.
Whether you're a seasoned developer seeking to optimise your Flutter apps or a newcomer intrigued by the possibilities of GraphQL, this session offers practical insights and actionable strategies to propel your development journey forward. Join us as we explore the intersection of Flutter, GraphQL, and Ferry, and embark on a path towards creating cutting-edge mobile experiences that captivate audiences worldwide.

The boring test but better - BDD?
Many developers are familiar with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and its benefits for writing good code. Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is similar to TDD but also focuses on improving teamwork. BDD involves writing tests in simple language so that everyone, not just tech experts, can understand them. This helps ensure that the code meets user needs and business goals. BDD encourages using natural language for test cases, making them easy for non-technical team members to grasp. My topic is particularly useful for developers who want to write efficient code and tests that stakeholders can understand, ultimately leading to project success. In this session I would walk you through some high level benefits of BDD and show some practical ways to achieve this.
