🎤 Sobhan Moradi (Flip)
📰 App Migration - Add Flutter to an existing native app
Sobhan will highlight a truly outstanding feature of Flutter: The seamless integration and migration capabilities from native Android/iOS applications to Flutter. This feature enables a hybrid native/Flutter app environment, which Sobhan has successfully implemented over three years at his previous company. They began by implementing this feature for a single module and, over the span of two years, they were able to migrate 90 percent of their native Android and iOS app to Flutter. Ultimately, this led to the launch of a fully-fledged Flutter application. The importance of being present at this session is crucial, as it equips developers with compelling arguments to convince their companies—especially large enterprises or those with substantial applications—to integrate Flutter into their existing systems. This strategy effectively mitigates common concerns regarding development costs and time efficiencies for big companies, while also simplifying the process of maintaining existing apps and developing new ones.

🎤 Steffen Knödler (Accessboard)
📰 Introduction to Remote Flutter Widgets
Have you ever thought about controlling parts of your UI remotely? As each update of your Android and iOS App requires an approval by Google & Apple, the update process can be tedious and time-intensive. You might be tempted to move some control to the server - But should you? What approaches are available if you want to control some parts of the UI remotely? In this talk, Steffen introduces three approaches to make remote changes. He briefly outlines each approach, highlights possible use-cases as well as benefits and potential pitfalls. The talk should provoke a discussions about each of the approach and leaves room for the audience to share individual experiences & learned best-practices.
