What happens when your mobile app can control something in the real world?

Join us for the first session in our Robotics + 3D Printing + AI meetup series. We’ll explore a working Flutter Android app that communicates with a micro over Bluetooth—and see commands turn into actions on a real device.

### What you’ll see

  • Discover and connect to a micro from a Flutter app.
  • Tap a button on your phone to display a heart on the micro.
  • Clear the LED display with another command.
  • Press a physical micro button and receive a message in the app.
  • Walk through the Flutter code and micro program that make it work.

### Who is this for?

Flutter developers, curious makers, and anyone interested in connecting software with electronics.

No robotics experience is required. Some programming familiarity will help with the code walkthrough, but you’re welcome to come and watch.

You don’t need to own a micro or install anything to attend. This session is a guided live demonstration and code walkthrough, with time for questions.

### Agenda

  • 7:00–7:05: Welcome and introduction to the series
  • 7:05–7:15: Meet the micro and understand the Bluetooth connection
  • 7:15–7:25: Walk through the micro program
  • 7:25–7:45: Live Flutter demo and app code walkthrough
  • 7:45–7:55: Questions and discussion
  • 7:55–8:00: Preview of the next session

### Where the series goes next

We’ll build on this foundation in future meetups: first adding movement and a 3D-printed mechanism, then exploring control through local AI.
Come see how a few buttons on a screen can become the beginning of a robotics project.
