“Let’s add AI to the app” - sounds simple. Maybe it comes from your boss, maybe from a product roadmap, maybe from your own curiosity. Generative AI is quickly becoming a must-have skill for modern app development—but getting started can feel overwhelming. With constantly evolving tools, backend complexity, and the pressure to look like you know what you’re doing, it’s hard to know where to begin.

In this talk, we’ll walk through building a functional, GenAI-powered Flutter app using Firebase and the Genkit toolkit. We’ll cover how to set up and deploy both basic and more advanced AI workflows. You’ll be able to use the provided examples to build your own AI app.

By the end, you’ll know exactly how to bring generative AI into your Flutter projects—and the next time someone says, “Let’s add AI,” you’ll be ready.

19.30 - 20.00 - Lukas Klingsbo (Open Source Engineer at Blue Fire) - "How to program an e-ink conference badge with Flutter"

At Flutter & Friends we had a programmable conference badge with an e-ink screen, BLE and NFC. In this session we will go over how the Flutter package for programming the badge works and how to use it to display whatever you would like on it so that it can be used on any conference, or any other event for that matter!
One badge will be given out to the best question, and you can also buy your own badge if you bring €30 in cash.
