1st FlutterVienna Hackathon: Play with Flutter!

Dear Flutternauts,

this is a very special one. We are going into our summer break with talks and our standard meetups, BUT we don't want to leave you hanging.

So for everyone craving Flutter, we got something amazing:

A Flutter Hackathon!

Let's try to make something fun and develop a simple game during the Hackathon!
Flutter provides different ways to create games. No matter if you want to use your daily Flutter skills to create a text-based games using input fields, a supportive app for your favorite board game nights with friends using Serverpod or if you would like to go all in with Flame or Flutter Games Toolkit and build a jump and run or 2D game!

Don't worry if you have never done this before: This Hackathon is about getting into the topic and playing around, meeting other Flutter devs and having a good time! Of course, the focus will be to create a small game, but together we can definitely achieve that.

We want to introduce a collaborative aspect so we can learn from each other, have a sparring partner and more fun.

You can team up with your friend beforehand (or use our Discord to find one!). But don't worry if you join solo: we will match you with another single at the start of the event. ;)

What would a Hackathon be without some prizes? We got everything the Flutter heart desires!

The first 3 winner teams have the option to choose their favorites: A ticket to the Flutter & Friends conference worth 295€, the new Flutter Engineering Book (signed by the author), Dash plushies, T-Shirts and coupon codes.
But don't worry, there will be stickers, pins and bags for everyone!

With a new office (in the same building as before), we have lots of space, separate rooms for secret sessions, an A/C and more. Because the Hackathon is on a Saturday, we will have the place for ourselves.

We can provide monitors, mice, keyboards and all sorts of cables.
As people will be working there again on Monday, let's leave the place according to the Boy Scout Rule: A bit cleaner than we found it ;)

• Will there be food and drinks?
  Yes. We will provide food and drinks for free during the day.
• I have a team already. Can we participate?
  Yes, it is perfectly fine to participate with your friend and form a team.
• I don't have a team yet. Can I participate?
  Yes. No problem. Either you connect and find somebody in our Discord or we will help you find a team. :)
• I am not an experienced Flutter dev. Can I participate?
  Yes! We will try to keep the challenges quite open, so you and your team can decide what you guys make and how challenging it is.
• Is there a signup fee?
  No. We want to keep it low entry and welcome everybody.
• Can I / my company support this amazing project somehow?
  Glad you asked. ;) We are always looking for sponsors for our events. If you would like to see your companies logo and get a short speaking spot to present your company at the Hackathon or at one of our meetups, we would love to hear from you.
