Lessons learned building a Flutter Desktop App to get rid of another SAAS subscription. I was using a SAAS to track my LinkedIn post performance and just recently realized that they downgraded me to a plan without raw access to my data. Using less tokens than the monthly price of the SAAS I rebuilt it at home.

20:10: Flipping the Testing Pyramid - Rethinking your testing strategy

When the testing pyramid was introduced in 2009, Software engineering was dominated by large enterprise backend systems. Flutter apps don’t fit into that picture. We’re not scared of complex Animations which can be tested reliably with headless UI tests.
In this talk, Pascal shows how to flip the testing pyramid and make widget tests the backbone of your testing strategy. You’ll learn how to test your entire app with runApp, structure tests using the Robot pattern, and debug failures visually with the Spot Timeline. The result is a simpler, more robust test setup that survives refactors and reflects how real users interact with your app.
