Fly fishing is super fun! This group welcomes those who want to learn to cast to those who are who are masters. Casting a fly rod allows anyone to explore the mechanics of your body, the concentration of the mind, and give you a whole new techniques to enjoy the outdoors! Lets have some fun waving a stick in the water!
The specifics:
This group will use fly rod casting as common ground to be social. It is as simple as that. Casting a fly rod can be as easy as you want. It can also be very technical. These meetings will be start with a beverage around a bench/table, good conversation, and teaching.
I intend on holding the first meetings on an easily accessible waterway in South Austin on the weekend. Most of us find the weekend with more free time. For myself, I am worn out during the week. I am fresher for teaching on a Saturday.
There are no dues. I may ask you to buy something to help you learn.
We don't have any commercial interests. Just there to have some fun.
