"A writer is like those fish that have to keep moving in order to live. Unless you keep forging ahead, your life as a writer will come to an end." --Haruki Murakami We gather to write, to talk about writing, to talk about our writing. Join us!

Are you up for the challenge? Join us for some writing time. We'll meet at Avogadro's Number (Avo's) so that folks can join us who may have physical accessibility needs. It's also large enough for us to spread out. The premise is simple. Meet on Sunday at 9:15 a.m., a writing prompt will be given, and each participant cranks out (at least) six hundred words in two hours to form a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end. We'll spend the last hour reading the work. No critiques just positive reinforcement. Topic/phrase and criteria will be announced at the meeting. Avo's has yummy breakfast items and awesome Bloody Marys so please help us support them. They open at 9 so we will start at 9:15 so that we are mostly settled before we start. I hope you can meet with us at Avogadro's Number!
NOTE: Name change from "Give and Get Feedback" cuz that's clunky and there are no finished stories, only deadlines. Everyone needs some editing, right? Come join a writing group where we read and critique each other's work. If you want to share, bring copies of a what you're working on (max-ish 2,000 words) and a writing instrument for notes. We will all read in the group, and everyone provides feedback. One person will be identified at each meeting to bring a longer piece to the next so we will have the opportunity to get feedback on longer pieces. This week's featured long writer will be TBD. We'll meet at Avogadro's Number (Avo's), which does a great job to accommodate physical accessibility needs. It's large and has good breakfast options. Avo's opens at 9 if you want to get food or a coffee before the meeting. Hope to see you there!!
