ADHD Super Fun Support Friends Group.....Welcome to the Focus Warriors Super Fun ADHD Support Friends Group 🎉
We laugh, we cry, we share real stuff.
Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s weird, sometimes it’s just what we needed.
If you’re new here, this isn’t your typical support group. No awkward circles or “therapy vibes” — just people who get it, figuring things out together and actually enjoying the process.***
# 🧠 This Week’s Session:
The Dopamine Desert: Surviving the ADHD Job Hunt
And we’re kicking off our first week there with someone who’s been quietly dropping wisdom since the first time he showed up:
If you’ve been to even one Focus Warriors meeting, chances are you’ve heard Levin say something that stuck with you. He’s got this mix of calm presence, sharp insight, and humor that somehow makes everything feel more manageable.
He’s also figured out how to speak just the right amount — which is something I still need to work on 😂. But seriously, I always look forward to when he raises his hand. And when he finally speaks, people actually stop and listen. More than that: people remember.
A bunch of us have caught ourselves repeating things he’s said in other conversations. I still love the brushing your teeth metaphor — that one helped me explain executive dysfunction to so many people. He’s just that kind of communicator.
Levin’s not just part of this community — he’s made it better every time he shows up.
So when he offered to lead a session, I was amped.
And when I found out the topic... let’s just say, suddenly very relatable 👀
This week, he’s leading us through one of the most cursed parts of adult ADHD life: looking for a job.
Here’s his blurb:***
> There are few things that are easier to procrastinate really well than applying to jobs. It's a lot of boring paper work, you're doing the same thing for weeks on end, and then you're often left without any clear answers. It's a dopamine desert.
> Add to that the ADHD A-Team of Rejection Sensitivity Disorder, Executive Dysfunction, and struggling with decision-making — and you might have the setup for a really entertaining comedic drama, but also a miserable time as the protagonist.
> So, let's take a closer look this week at something we all go through, likely more than once in our lives: Looking for a job.
> I want to talk through some ADHD-specific challenges in the job search, offer a look under the hood from an insider's perspective, share some basic tips on how to up your application game, and last but certainly not least, focus on some of our ADHD quirks that can actually be really beneficial in the process and beyond!
> Disclaimer: I work in Talent Acquisition and I've filled hundreds of positions as an in-house recruiter. But I'm speaking purely as a private person and not sharing any internal data or information.***
What to expect if you’re new:
✅ Chill convos – Come as you are
✅ Deep stuff when it makes sense
✅ No judgment, no fixing – Just good people
✅ People who come regularly say life gets way better (no joke)
