WELCOME NATURE LOVERS!
Friends of Lower Appomattox River is a nonprofit group based in Petersburg, VA. We are working to build a 25-mile-long blueway-greenway along the Appomattox River, touching Hopewell, Chesterfield County, Colonial Heights, Petersburg, and Dinwiddie. We invite the public to join us for volunteer opportunities along our beautiful public trail.
- No experience necessary. We will provide training, plant identification, and tools at every volunteer event.
- No age requirement. Any age can enjoy making a difference in natural spaces. We ask for adult supervision for anyone under 18. A liability and photo permission (optional) form must be signed on arrival at volunteer events.
