7:00pm Workshop: As winter tightens its grip and the nights linger long and fog-heavy, LORE gathers beneath the Full Moon in Leo for an evening devoted to Winter Tales. This is the old-world hour when stories were once told close to the fire. In the cold and dark months, when the veil feels thin and the land goes quiet, people have always turned to uncanny stories, omens, and whispered encounters with the unseen to make sense of the season.

We’ll open the night with a short talk and poetic story from Elic, exploring the strange folklore and symbolic roots of Groundhog Day. More than a kitschy calendar tradition, the groundhog is an ancient threshold creature, a messenger between underground and surface worlds, divining the future from shadow and light. Told on the night of the full moon, this tale sets the tone for a gathering that honors cycles, prediction, and the quiet magic of midwinter.

Afterward, Corrina will kick off the storytelling with an astrological takeaway of this season and then the circle opens. Attendees are invited to share their own winter stories, paranormal encounters, ancestral lore, or seasonal myths, or simply come to listen as the night unfolds. Whether your tale is eerie, symbolic, funny, or unresolved, this is a space for oral tradition to breathe again. Come warm yourself in shared stories, let the fog do its work, and join us in keeping the old winter custom alive.
