Many of us are touch deprived and experiencing mental challenges that can be remedied at least as well by consensual touch as by the available medicines. Perhaps we are not looking for sexual intimacy, lack people with whom to share nonsexual contact, or just want to dose up on oxytocin with low risk and high yields.

Date: Fri Nov 8, 2024
Time: 6:30-8pm
Location: 33 Muir Avenue, side walkway to furthest back door of house
Cost: $20 or reach out if experiencing financial strain

My main influences in developing this offering
-Registered Massage Therapy diploma and clinical practice
-Trauma Informed Practioner Certification
-Certified Hypnotherapist
-Wheel of Consent (Betty Martin)
-Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms and recovery - me too

While we all reserve the right to decline with no reason provided, I encourage people to come
-who are open to hugging people of any gender, race, sexual orientation, etc.
-who are committed to understanding and honouring the boundaries and needs of others
-who are willing and able to minimize strong body odors and wearable scents
-are willing to take responsibility for self advocacy (which is not the same as doing so perfectly)

For your information, here are my
-hug preferences: medium pressure, slowness, ergonomic consideration. In social spaces: a side embrace, so we can feel physically connected but also remain open to conversing with others.
-hug boundaries: zero contact with sharp facial hair or saliva eg wet kisses.
-hug hesitations: people with whom i’ve had conflict, people in relationships (that do not permit such affections to be shared with others, which i cannot know for sure), and people who need the hug to lead to something more.

(and during our time together, i hope we all come to know this about each other and practice putting it all into play!)

Masks are welcome but not required (anyone with symptoms of illness will please stay home). I have hand sanitizer and a dedicated washroom in the space.
there is one small step into the room and a narrow walkway from the sidewalk.
