SUP on Lake Natoma/Nimbus Flat State Park

Nimbus Flat State Park in Folsom – 1921 Hazel Avenue. Adjacent to Sacramento State Aquatic Center.

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION

There is a parking fee to enter the state park. Meet ON THE WATER AT 4PM on the Nimbus Flat side just in front of the cement steps (adjacent to the swim area). WE WILL BEGIN PADDLING AT 4:15PM. We’ll aim to return to shore by 6:30pm. This is a beginner group, all levels welcome. The main focus is to enjoy being out on the water. LIFE VEST REQUIRED. ATTEND AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Bringing your own board/kayak: Park either at the free Hazel Avenue Park and Ride or pay a fee at the kiosk to park at the Nimbus lot near the swim area. This is the first lot to the left just after the pay kiosk. MEET ON THE WATER AT 4PM on the Nimbus Flat side just in front of the cement steps (adjacent to the swim area). WE WILL BEGIN PADDLING AT 4:15PM

If you want to rent a board: Rentals are available at The Sacramento State Aquatic Center. If you are renting from Sac State, there is no parking fee. You must be 18 or older to rent the equipment. LIFE VEST REQUIRED and will be provided for you. BRING AN ID AND ONE SET OF KEYS. You may register for equipment rental prior to the event by going to: https://www.sacstateaquaticcenter.com/equipment-rentals to set up an account and to sign the waivers. You may also call them at 916-278-2842. Registering ahead is not required, you may complete this step at the check-in desk. At the Aquatic Center, you will need to GIVE THEM YOUR ID AND ONE SET OF KEYS. These are held until you return your equipment. Times may vary, however it may take approximately 20 minutes to get your board/kayak on the water and a few more minutes to paddle over to meet us. Once on your board, MEET ON THE WATER AT 4PM on the Nimbus Flat side just in front of the cement steps (adjacent to the swim area). WE WILL BEGIN PADDLING AT 4:15PM
