Belcarra Park to Barnet Marine Park Paddle

Hi everyone,

Let's hope the weather is nice and if it isn't, then we cancel the event with two days notice before the event.

The Takaya Belcarra Paddling Center at Belcarra Regional Park is open and they have boats for rent for a minimum of 2 hours.

We will paddle around the Bay area to Barnet Marine Park.

Try to be at the park by 10:00 am or earlier so you can rent and setup your gear. If you are bringing your own gear, please arrive at parking lot by 930 am. The parking lot can get full on sunny and warm days.

We will meet at the beach at 10:30 AM and we will launch our boats by 10:45 am. The beach area is small so if you are early, just wait for us at the beach area.

We will paddle for 2-3 hours and we might have a picnic after the paddle or we can go somewhere to eat.

Please bring a change of clothes. If you plan to bring your own boat, please wear a personal flotation device. PFDs are mandatory and failure to wear one will result in expulsion from the group.

By RSVP, yes, you agree to the risks in an outside environment. The organizer is not responsible for any injury, illness or any other liabilities you acquired before, during or after the event. We do not tolerate reckless behaviour. We are a group of volunteers and not professional tour guides. As a group of friends and acquaintances, we will look after one another.

If you cancel, please be courteous and provide 48 hours cancellation notice so people in the wait list can be moved to going.
