Paddle: Rocky Point to Barnet Marine Park

Let's hope the weather is nice and if it isn't, then we cancel the event with two days notice before the event.

The Rocky Point Kayak is a place where you can book a kayak or sup rental. Currently their website is down but they should be open in the summer. You can coordinate with other members to share the cost of a double seat kayak rental.

We will meet at Rocky Point Recreation Pier and set up our boats at the beach.

We will launch at 10:30 AM and paddle from Rocky Point to Barnet Marine Park during high tide. We will stop at Barnet Marine Park for washroom break and then paddle back. The paddle should take approximately 3 hours round trip.

After the paddle, the group can decide where to go for a late lunch.

Please bring a change of clothes. If you plan to bring your own boat, please wear a personal flotation device. PFDs are mandatory and failure to wear one will result in expulsion from the group.

By RSVP, yes, you agree to the risks in an outside environment. The organizer is not responsible for any injury, illness or any other liabilities you acquired before, during or after the event. We do not tolerate reckless behaviour. We are a group of volunteers and not professional tour guides. As a group of friends and acquaintances, we will look after one another.

If you cancel, please be courteous and provide 48 hours cancellation notice so people in the wait list can be moved to going.
