Now that the holiday madness is over, back to hiking!

This is a relatively relaxing loop consisting of parts of several trails at the Harmon Canyon Preserve. The trails are rated as Moderate on alltrails, but the portions we will be hiking are not as challenging as some of the other trails in the preserve. Expect mountain and ocean views, and flowing water in the streams.

Bring: Sunscreen, hat, shoes with grip, bug repellent

Parking: The parking lot is off of McVittie Place. McVittie Place is a paved street with a clear street sign. You will turn off of Foothill road onto McVittie place. Immediately after you turn onto McVittie you will see the official entrance to the parking lot on the right. The parking lot is a dirt road that has clear signage. If your navigation is directing you to a dirt road, directly off of foothill (without going on McVittie first), that is not the parking lot. McVittie is slightly to the left of a couple unmarked dirt roads.

The parking lot can get busy on weekends, in which case you can easily find parking on Kimball Road. Please allow yourself enough time to find parking in case you need to walk over from Kimball.

After: For those who have time for lunch, we'll head over to Two Trees Restaurant
