Welcome to another idea in a long line of successful and unsuccessful Meetup group ideas!
This time, we try food trucks.
Why, you ask?
Because they hardly fit under the moniker of "sophisticated" eats so listing them in the Sophisticated Eaters and Drinkers of Broward / PBC group would be inappropriate.
So let's try this experiment as a stand alone group.
What are the challenges of keeping this group afloat?
- That there be enough trucks to go around and we're not hitting the same trucks over and over again.
- There must be proper seating for at least 10 members who RSVP for an event.
- Whether or not there is even a demand for this group.
Most of my "Sophisticated" members are 55 and over but I welcome anyone who wants to meet new people of any age. It's about sharing, meeting new people, forming new friendships, and enjoying quality food truck food.
As with my other groups, please save any political and religious talk for somewhere else and understand that the group has a zero tolerance for harassment or belittling of anyone may it be a fellow member, a host, or a food truck owner.
I encourage member participation for both recommending food trucks and possibly hosting events.
Let's give this a try.
