THE MAJIK FOREST THATS HIDING THE WORLDS 2ND TALLEST TREE !

*** This used to be a two day event with one day at Vichy Springs in Ukiah . But groups are not allowed now. ****
I only do this 1 or 2 times a year. So don't miss it !!

We will carpool from the Petaluma Library.
***Arrive in Ukiah at Starbucks on Vichy Springs Rd. just off the exit. We will meet here to regroup, bathrooms ,etc.
******From here we will make a kwik stop to make a short tour of Orr Hot Springs. This is less than a mile from our starting location. Some of you may wish to stay the night or check it out for a future day or stay. Its a very Kool resort.
Upon arriving at the start location, we will have our lunch first. So buy or bring one before. Good hiking shoes needed. an easy trek of about 3 miles of exploring this amazing prehistoric wild sunken forest. It takes time to really explore it. *****Plus you can try & locate the world's 2nd tallest tree!!!! This forest also has several trees in the top 12.

*****NOTE: I'll have all the usual food , snacks & drinks & hiking poles, etc. And it's only $25 for everything.
The lush ferns are fed by underground springs . And some of the fallen Giants have very unique root structures. It'a great place for super photos ! When we finish , we will have our dinner option at a great downtown Ukiah location. Then we hit the road home . "What an Experience "
