WE'RE GOING BACK TO ICHETUCKNEE !! READ THE ENTIRE POST !

The Ichetucknee Springs river is one of the most pristine springs in all of Florida. We will be driving up on Friday , meet for dinner and nightlife and tube the river the next morning. After a day of tubing we will take a rest, explore the Gainesville area or hang by the pool. Sunday morning is leisure time or some of you may want to go blueberry picking, later on the drive home anytime after 11, we will stop at the Lakeridge Winery and enjoy an early afternoon Music Festival and Winery Tour. There is also time to stop by the Russell Stover Chocolate Outlet for you chocoholics or the shopping at the Town Center of the Villages or Mystic Cafe for some alcohol infused Ice Cream!

The Details:

Friday June 16: We drive up to the Hotel at whatever time works best for you on Friday. If you are willing to drive, let me know and if you need to car pool, let me know. I will try and match up the drivers with the riders(no guarantees though). Car Pooling like the event is on a first come first served basis. For those arriving early we will go out on the town for dinner and… For those arriving later, I will let you know where we are or are going to be so you can catch up with us.

Saturday June 17: We leave early for a day of Tubing on the Ichetucknee.
We are going to car pool over to the park and get our tubes and put into the springs and start our journey. At the end, we will take our tubes out for a short tram ride back to the General Store and we will have lunch.

Sunday June 18. For those of you interested we will go blueberry picking this morning! Some of you may want get a jump on the road to go to the Russell Stover outlet or The Villages for some shopping. We’ll meet at the Lakeridge Winery for the Winery Tour and Music Festival around 12:30. The gates open at 11:00 and there will be winery tours, food , vendors and of course the Musical Entertainment. Leaving there by 3:30 you should be home around 7:30 – 8:00 pm.

Total Cost is $160.00. That includes the hotel for 2 nights(double occupancy). Morning Breakfast Saturday and Sunday, admission to the park, Your tube ($10.00 value, unique tubes can have up to a $15.00 extra charge) and tram ride back to your car. If you need a roommate, I will try and match you up(no guarantees) This is a rain or shine event! This trip is limited to 30 people.
