Food, Wine & Beer in the CLE!

Come take a 90 minute guided tour of the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, Ohio. Afterwards we will go to the Dutch Valley Amish Restaurant.

11:45am to 1:30pm - The 90 minute Age of Steam Roundhouse tour starts at 12:00pm but we have to be there by 11:45am to check in.This Roundhouse has incredible locomotives, railroad cars, tools, and machinery where restoration specialists work to preserve pieces of history. We can't go to Sugarcreek without getting some Amish food!

Dutch Valley has a barn-raising buffet, and lots of other delicious stuff on their menu!

After eating, maybe go see the World's Largest Cuckoo Clock in the center of Swiss Village in Sugarcreek, the clock is over 23 feet tall and 24 feet wide. Every half hour, a cuckoo bird pops out and then you hear Swiss polka music playing as the band emerges and a couple dances. Free!

First up at 6:15 pm is Michael Weber Show, a rock band out of Akron, Ohio. This guy is an incredible showman if you haven't seen him. Don't want to miss the opening act! The first band normally plays until about 8:15 pm.
Headliner comes on at 8:45 pm - Forever Seger - Bob Seger tribute band. Saw this band last year - amazing! Looks and sounds just like Bob Seger. If you love Bob, you will love this band!

$10 gets you in the door with multiple food trucks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. Bring a lawn chair to sit back and enjoy the night! There is a big dance floor up by the band or dance by where we set up. No pets are allowed except service animals. No outside food or beverage allowed to be brought in - need to support all the vendors!

Parking is free. Get there at 6 pm to get your chair set up with the group. I will post the location once settled.

Purchase the island fun pack. The cost is $74. This includes the round trip ferry ride, bus ride to and from the tour train, Perry’s cave, butterfly house, antique car museum, war of 18 hole putt putt, Heinen winery, and Crystal Cave tour. Feel free to join the group at each event but understand that there are times when we may get separated if we have a large group. We’ll communicate through the Meetup site our group location various times throughout the day.

The cost of this event is $179 total for an hour and a half. It seems like a lot but it is well worth it. They will give us a class before we go out on the lake. There is a boat and a guide that goes out with us to watch in case we need assistance.

I am limiting the spots because they only allow a total of eight jet skis. If you want to double up, you can purchase a double jet ski and bring a partner to ride with. They allow eight jet skis to go out with up to 16 people.
