  1. Tournament Format
    Teams: 2 players per team (Doubles format)
    Groups: 8 groups of 4 teams each
    Group Stage: Round-robin (each team plays every other team in their group once)
    Points System: Win = 3 points, Loss = 0 points
    Tiebreakers: 1) Goal difference, 2) Head-to-head result, 3) Total goals scored
    Knockout Stage: Top 2 teams from each group advance to a single-elimination bracket
  2. Match Format
    Match Format: Best of 3 rounds
    Goals per Round: First team to score 9 goals wins the round
    Side Switching: Teams must switch sides after each round
    Time Limit: 12 minutes per round. If the round is not completed within the time limit, the team with the higher score wins the round
  3. Starting and Resuming Play
    Starting the Game: The referee will drop the ball through the center guide hole to begin each round
    After a Goal: Play resumes with a ball drop through the center guide hole
    Dead Ball or Out of Play:
    If the ball is unreachable by any player figure, it is re-served from the center guide hole
    If the ball goes off the table, it is re-served from the defending team’s 2-bar (defender position)
  4. Rules and Violations
    Spinning
    Definition: A spin is any rod that rotates more than 360 degrees before or after striking the ball
    Penalty for Spinning:
    First violation: Warning
    Second violation: Opponent re-serves the ball
    Third violation: Automatic goal awarded to the opponent
    Other Infractions
    Table Jarring or Excessive Movement:
    First violation: Warning
    Second violation: Re-serve awarded to the opponent
    Third violation: Goal awarded to the opponent
    Disruptive Behavior (taunting, shouting, distracting): Same penalty progression as above
    Time Limits:
    Possession on 5-bar: Maximum 10 seconds
    Possession on 3-bar or 2-bar: Maximum 15 seconds
  5. Prizes
    First Place: 60% 30% of price pool
    Second Place: 30% of price pool
    Third Place: 10% of price poolPrice Pool= 70% of total entrance fees
  6. Media & Marketing
    All matches and events during the tournament may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional purposes by Mench Cafe. By participating, players consent to the use of their likeness, name, and performance in any format, including social media, websites, or printed materials, without compensation.
