Football in the park #173 ⚽️

Meet at the park and play a couple of games. Bibs and goals provided. All skill levels/genders/ages welcome, from beginners to pros!

Studded boots are not mandatory but highly recommended for your own safety, especially when muddy. Same with shin pads.

We usually play anything from 4 a-side to 11 a-side, and even mini-tournaments, depending on the number of attendees. Teams will be made one hour before the game using a script, so remember to update your RSVP before 9:00 on a Saturday.

This is necessary to get things going more quickly and avoid confusion. Make sure to arrive on time.

Summary of the rules:

• Handballs are only treated as fouls if they are clearly intentional. Without deliberate intent from the player to use their hand/arm to gain an advantage, it is not a foul.
• Offsides only count when playing on full pitch and are only called if blatantly obvious (1-2 metres minimum). Refrain from calling an offside unless you're the one committing it.
• No hard challenges or excessive shithousery. We all want to go home feeling better, both physically and mentally.
• Any kind of violence/malice will result in a permanent ban.
