Bridgewater Paddle

Details
The most challenging part of this paddle is the put-in. Swiftwater and a few nice rapids. Nothing extreme, but you do need to be comfortable with fast moving water. (Everyone who paddled North Bend to Watermill on June 28th will enjoy this.)
Meeting at the Bridgewater Access, coordinates 35.739414, -81.834930.
For whitewater paddles wanting some practice, the first two miles offer several good surf spots. Once we get to the North Bend Access it calms down a bit. If you want to surf, please bring your helmet. For those not wishing to surf, you'll need to pull into an eddy as we need the group to stay together.
We will take out at the Watermill Bridge Access. Estimating 3 1/2 hours on the water.
Everyone must wear a PFD (vest) and you should have a whistle. Helmets are optional but for any serious surfing should be worn.
Bring some hydration and snacks. We will take a break somewhere around the half-way point.
This paddle is dependent on the dam release so the start time may be adjusted once the release schedule is posted three days prior to the event.
* Everyone will need to bring their own boats. There are no rentals.
Hope to see you there!
