Rough Ridge & Beacon Heights

I am looking forward to cool, crisp air and beautiful fall colors. I want to take a slow walk up Rough Ridge and Beacon Heights to enjoy the fall foliage. Both are rated moderate and rocky but short. Rough Ridge is 1.2 out & back. Beacon Heights is .06 out & back.

Parking will be limited so I would like to carpool from the gravel parking area located just before the Smyrna Baptist Church on the right side of Hwy 181 before Brown Mountain Beach Rd. Meeting at 9:00 am. The Address to the church is 3500 Brown Mountain Beach Rd Morganton, NC 28655.

Pack water and snacks.
